Description

Primavera considered as one of the most powerful programs to assist in project management, as it enables the project manager to deal with the various project components, plan it and control them throughout the project life cycle from its initiation to its close. It enables him to manage scope, time, cost, resources, and risk to complete the project.

What You Learn

The objective of this course is to learn the basics of the Primavera program, which enables the trainee to create a schedule and manage projects using the program.

Note: The course will be applied to a sample project chosen by the trainer, and the course will not be applied to real projects due to the limited time of the course.

By the end of this course, the trainee will have mastered the following skills:

Know a brief description of project management and planning.
Get to know the main screen of the program.
Create the Enterprise Project Structure EPS.
Create the Organizational Breakdown Structure OBS.
Knowing the types of calendars and how to add and deal with them.
Adding the project currency used if it was not added from among the currencies in the program.
Adding a new project.
Create a Work Breakdown Structure WBS.
Know what activities are, their types, and what are the types of activities duration.
Knowing the relationships between activities and their types.
Knowing resources, their types, how to define them, assign them to activities, and view them.
Knowing the project budget and how to calculate.
Know how to define risks.
Using activity codes and assigns it to the activities.
Customize the activities and schedule view.
Knowing what is the critical path and how to calculate it manually and by the program.
Know what scheduling is and how it works.
Copying schedules.
The use of resource leveling and its advantage.
Knowing the methods of schedule compression and their benefits.
Baseline Schedule and how to be assigned to the project.
How to update the schedule and comparing actual vs. baselined schedule.
Learn about issue log and it's use.
Know how to use schedules comparison and its benefits.
Learn how to open and prepare reports.
